Using Linux Everyday.
There are many commercial and Open Source packages available to you within
the Linux environment to help you accomplish a variety of tasks. These
packages range from the simple and easy to use to the very complex and
sophisticated. This presentation is designed to be a brief overview of some
of the popular packages that you are most likely to encounter in your early
forays into Linux. We will also cover some Open Source and commercial
packages that may assist you in running that 'must have' windows based
application under Linux.

Topics to be covered are:

Open Office - Office Application Suite
      Evolution - Email
      Mozilla - Web Browsing
      Crossover Office/WINE - Application Enablement
Win4Lin, VMWare - Commercial Application Enablement

---
Demonstration of a Basic Linux Installation
This presentation is designed to be a walk though of a Linux installation.
It is aimed at those who would like an introduction to the Linux
installation process before embarking on one themselves. The presentation
is based around the installation of a Linux system in a dual boot
environment and includes some commentary on dual boot considerations and
some pitfalls to avoid.

Topics to be covered are:

Hardware Considerations - Recommend requirements and types of
equipment to avoid
Preliminary Preparation - Disk partitioning and boot
considerations
Basic Installation Process - Walkthrough of the installation
process

---

Is that the sort of thing you were after? I had planned on doing FC for the
installation demo but if we leave the description as above then we can do
(almost) anything on the day (even SuSE?)
