The original plan for the Using and Installation presentations was for 1/2
hr with the possibility of running it again if there was interest.
Subsequent to that the Using presentation has grown somewhat so 1 hour
would be good including time for questions/discussion. I am still keen on
doing the Installation walkthrough as well which if we are doing a live
install will also be close to 1 hour.
If there is a squeeze for time is there a second room available? I can
possibly scrounge a projector/screen etc. if needed.
Carl
Do we really need to have 1 hour for "Linux: What is it?" and also "Using
Linux everyday: core applications?"
Bring them back 1/2 hour and bring everything else into line with them.
This would make the last presentation (being my one) at 2pm.

Subject: [wlug_org] Installfest: Meeting Times
hi all,
a few people have told me that their presentations are going to be under
half hour. It's awkward to update the site with that (6 pages need
editing), so I would like this to be the last time.
Therefore I will update the site tomorrow with this timetable:
10:30AM: Linux: what is it?
11:30AM: What is Wellylug?
12:00PM: Using Linux every day: core applications
1:00PM: Demo of Linux install using Fedora
2:00PM: An introduction to computer security
3:00PM: Desktop LX: productivity pack & game pack
If anyone has any changes that they want/need (eg: 0:30 more, or 0:30
less), please email me at once, or I will assume that your time block is
fine.
We don't want many more changes, as people sign up, it looks shaky, if
we keep changing times.
Remember to leave plenty of time for questions.
thanks,
