An introduction to computer security

It is an unfortunate but real fact on today's public networks, if your
machine isn't secured, it's likely to be compromised. This talk will
endeavour to introduce you to the basics of keeping your machine secure,
as well as features of the Linux operating system with regards to
security. With a minimal amount of knowledge and effort, your machine can
be hardened sufficiently such that attackers will go elsewhere, ensuring
a trouble free and pleasurable computing experience.
