FYI, 

Nothing much "new", but figure to keep y'all in the loop:


Silicon are putting the Dymocks box together, they have the PPT to install.
Hopefully a 19" flat screen.

I've emailed DSE a copy of the PPT to hopefully stick into a live CD. I should
get more info from them on Monday.

Dymocks are expecting the PC 1st thing Monday AM (not this one coming, but the
one before the 'fest)

Dymocks will provide a credit card zapper (paper) and cartons of books for us
to set up/display/sell.



Questions/comments:

Someone to look after the book sales?  Any volunteers??

Do we want the PPT on the web page for people to download? About 1.5Gb gzipped,
I haven't tried bzip2.


I've had no feedback from you on hardware. We will therefore only have Agere
DSP chipset PCI modems which we have tested on Linux and the 40 & 80 GB Western
Digital hard drives.

I suggest we stick $5 on each hardware item to go to WLUG rainy day account.

Any guesses on how many drives to carry?

It is prob worth stating on the website what hardware we will have available, &
the $$$, so I'll confirm this early next week for Jethro to add.

The 80Gb drives seem pretty reasonable $$, if anyone in WLUG wants one, let me
know & I'll add it to the total. Dove Electronics want some brochures to pass
out to customers, so a bit of extra advertising there.

I have a feeling we may need a lot more brochures than planned. I can jack up
some colour photocopying if needed.
