Early on I did suggest a CD of NVidia, ATi, LT modem drivers & such. Never
followed it up really, & with the discussions about giving people the CD's that
were effectively their install, we didn't want to get away from the default
stuff. But network, modem, sound? & graphics drivers as a general support for
installers would be a good idea. Not an area I'm particularly familiar with.
My approach is if it doesn't do it off the standard install CD's, find a distro
that does. Which I guess is why I finished up with Mandrake....
We will have access to one PC with broadband internet, all the others will be
on a separate subnet which I assume you can be the DHCP server for?
The Asterix PC Reviver demo box will be running Windows Terminal server client
on a diskless/cd-less box via the Asterix Linux based virtual hard drive. I'll
see if we can use this for outside access as well.
