Yep--- not a great example...

Parking/access
People need to spread way back for presentations, seating layout is not ideal
Parking/access
Difficult to have a couple of "help with PC", "see what I've got/done",
presentations running concurrently, & generally about 1/3 or more of those
there don't seem to really be interested in the presentations, & do their own
thing, which causes a background murmur which can distract from the
presentation.
Parking/access :-)
(This is an issue for anyone not working in or based around the CBD, I know a
few Hutt members said this was the reason for attending the Hutt meeting
instead- Lan Place was to hard to get to & park near. They preferred the old
J'ville rooms from that perspective)

I'm not knocking LanPLace, it is a great facility, offers some real advantages,
but IMHO, for any serious presentations, it sucks. For anyone who needs to
drive there, it can be a pain.

LanPlace was never intended to be used for presentations. As there does seem to
be an increasing interest in presentations at meetings, I think a more suitable
venue would be good. For general meetings for a LUG, it is hard to beat (except
for parking!)
