The A record is in.  It *should* work without the MX for the moment, but
obviously, as you say, if the mail and webservers part ways, then it
won't - I've asked discountdomains if they'll fix their web interface to
let me insert MX records for subdomains; if they don't, then I'll shift
the DNS to point at a couple of my boxes instead :-)
