Hi All...

What was decided with this? Did we come to any consensus?

Michael

I'll fit in with whatever/wherever suits the majority. Earlier the better
for
me coz I fly out on Fri for a week. (Week long workshop in Hawaii on an Open
Source mapping package :-)

I reckon Silicon is the place to meet, then if we want a dinner to discuss
hit
up one of the Jackson St cafe/resturants. At least then we can discuss the
event with some knowledge of the venue.

If this doesn't suit, & anyone wants to see Silicon's facilities prior to
the
meeting anyway, let me know...

Basically to get interest/sponsorship from relevant commercial interests the
only thing to offer/sell is marketing rights. It is just for the one event,
&
dependent on mutual benefit. I also see it as helping build credibility for
Linux by having these people involved and fostering their involvement with
Linux. If the installfest became a major local event, exclusive rights are
less of an issue coz the marketing value is better. With the little events
we
run, we need to get as much as possible out of the sponsors.

Cheers
