None really. Normally IDG charge a copyright fee for any article reproduction.
If we want to copy any articles relating to Linux for people to take at the
installfest, we are free to do so. A goodwill gesture from IDG. I will check to
see that the permission includes other IDG publications, as there are a few
Computerworld & Reseller News articles of interest as well, tho they are not
generally targetting the same market.

I've had a look online & haven't seen one recent article, but things like the
tux love articles could be worth having copies of. Some of their articles
provide reasonable Linux background & it makes sense to have a few copies. It
all provides info & Linux (generally newbie) advice for those attending, which
is to the good.

They don't want to give away their copyright fees to somebody making $$ out of
the installfest. They are happy for non-commercial copying & redistribution,
but don't want others to use it to support their commercial sales without
getting a share of the dosh.
(Given the mag relies on advertising to be viable, this isn't unreasonable
IMHO)
