If my scenario makes sense, & you want some screenshots of sample apps, let me
know & I'll see what I can do. I can show Empress RDBMS running on an Empress
server, & give you some maps/visualisations all done on Linux.
If you want any images, ask here & if anyone has some interesting stuff to use
in a CBD shop window presentation, please let Jeremy know....
I'll check, but I think http://www.hdc.govt.nz/ivy/ is on Linux (it certainly
could be even if it isn't.... Linux is a recommended OS for the web mapping/GIS
software used)
But not for a week or so :-)
I like the idea of a MS Powerpoint being used for the disply :-)
BTW, I've confirmed May 1, 0900-1600 with Silicon, & the use of the
presentation room. They have offered a spot prize of (probably) a wireless
kb/mouse on a business card draw for the event. They are also happy to supply
the system for the Dymock's display.
