[wlug_org] Installfest Impress presentation/DSE role

Any news/progress on the Impress presentation to run at Dymocks??? 

Is it worth getting a few together to have a session on this to get it
completed?

I noticed a large display board on the wall at Akl airport advertising HP &
Linus as the system used by Dreamworks for computer movie production. GIven the
LOTR comment from Jamie, there may be a frame or two we could add on this??

I was wondering if anyone feels it would be a bad idea to see if DSE could also
run this at local shops. Either storefront or inside?? Preferably on a Linux PC
rather than Windows one :-)

If I get no negatibve feedback about this, I'll contact DSE tomorrow & suggest
that we would like them to:

   -provide us with DSE CD's of OSS to give away
   -hand out the printed brochure describing the installfest
   -run the PPT on a Linux PC in their stores 
     (maybe copy the presentation to the hard drive & run it from OO Impress 
       on a LiveCD boot?)
