Hey everyone,

Thanks for all your efforts to make it a success!! It went well...


The presentations went down very well from the feedback I got, a decided
improvement from last year, & something I think we need to continue.

We rediscovered Linux has serious issues with (win)modems, even supposedly
supported modems!!

Do we exclude laptops next time? (just joking, but they can be a pain!)

Silicon are more than happy to host another, & would consider doing a
presentation on Linux from their perspective, as around half their server
installs are Linux, as well as a few workstations. (not yet on the desktop
though). This could focus on how many everyday PC users in NZ already rely on
Linux, via ISP's, web services for banking/shopping, at work for corporate
Linux servers behind windows networks, etc...



Anyway, regarding the post install nosh everyone seemed to think a good idea:

Suggestions:
  place?
  date?
  time?

Anywhere just as long as our web master can get in & it is near the CBD so
Jamie B. doesn't have to travel too far :-)

(& are distro comments an allowed topic of conversation or not? Could we manage
more than 5 minutes without a distro comment? :-)
