I can supply SuSE 9 Personal ISO images courtesy of Novell. Historically
the licensing issues surrounding SuSE CD's has to do with the YaST license
which prohibits the commercial sale of CD's containing YaST or derivative
works of YaST without SuSE's permission, which was incompatible with the
GPL. I.E. you could buy the CD's and cut as many copies as you liked but
you couldn't sell the copies. In all other aspects they are GPL compliant
and Novell have now modified the YaST license to bring it in line with the
GPL.
If I can get my cutter to work again I'll bring some along to the LUG...
unless the hdd you are talking about can be USB attached?
Carl
I know that you can't download ISOs of SuSE from their site - you can
only download the network installation source.
I'm not sure whether there would be any legal issues regarding
distribution of cd images - anyone know anything about SuSE's licensing
terms for the CDs?

As long as someone has the ISO we can easily do this.
