Not if Naos is hosting the list.
When I say "no advertising" I mean "no advertising". I don't mean "a
little bit so long as it doesn't hurt anyone" or "so long as no one is
getting rich" or "so long as it's a private sale" or something like that.
>From this discussion, and the attempt to rationalise "non profit" or
"private" or whatever advertising on the list/website/etc, it appears to
me that there is considerable disagreement with Naos's "no advertising"
policy.
As such perhaps it's appropriate to move the mailing lists somewhere
more "advertising friendly".
The mailing list archives are available here:
http://lists.naos.co.nz/pipermail/wellylug.mbox/wellylug.mbox
http://lists.naos.co.nz/pipermail/wlug_org.mbox/wlug_org.mbox
and I'll happily provide the mailing list membership lists to a person
designated by the !cabal for the purpose of setting up the lists on
another mailing list server.
I'm also willing to forward the email addresses for a transition period
(say 1 month) to help with the transition.
Please let me know (off list) who you would like the mailing list's
membership lists set to.
