The Hutt Lug meetings do provide an environment like what you are after,
except that Internet Access is probably mot going to happen as the
sysadmin is a bit of a twit and it isn't a priority as far as YFC are
concerned.
However we do actually spend alot of time focused on fixing peoples
linux problems, and have enough knowledge amongst the regular attendees
to solve most problems.  We do ask for a donation of $2, for a koha for
YFC, which is more than reasonable.
