You say that like it'd a bad thing.[0]

I'd be in favour of a monthly reminder message to the effect that
"there are meetings in the following centres this month; see this URL
for details".  

But having each LUG posting one or more reminder messages for each
LUG meeting seems like unnecessary random noise rather than useful
information.  Not to mention for the poor people on the proper LUG
announcement list getting announcements twice (or three times if the
apparent plan to cross-post these all to nzlug-announce as well goes
ahead).  Times however many announcements are being sent out (seemingly
more than one).
