Hi Jamie...
Glad you can contribute again....

I'm basically a SuSE bloke these days, I'll chase up Novell as well, they
should be keen to come on board. I don't think Gentoo, Slackware or DamnSmall
are really appropriate for an Installfest, but if someone wants to take it on,
that's OK with me :-)

Yep, I wanted a core team from this list first, as they will prob do most of
the work anyway. Then notify the main list & ask for help.
I'll sort out : Silicon
DSE
Dymock's
Novell
I'll need to confirm a date with Silicon ASAP.
Hopefully we can get some publicity through the OS day or whatever it is, Sept
10? When ballons & things are being given away- we should try to make sure we
have LiveCD's & demo's ready for then as well....
I'll see if I can make a custom LiveCD from my GIS one, but drop the GIS stuff
& have an installfest presentation run from it. Should be simpler than
installing Linux on DSE boxes to do it like last time.
I'll get the CD basically ready to go, & just stick your (Jamie) presentation
on it & burn a few copies....
Any concerns/comments?
I think a presentation on Linux/GIS with the Wgtn LiveCD as a giveaway could be
worth doing, esp if we can say there is a Novell/Min Education initiative to
supply it to schools. People like finding their house & address. But I have a
biased interest in this one :-)
We have Mandriva & SuSE installers, I assume an Ubuntu one will turn up from
the Debian camp.
I think 3 distros, with 2 LiveCD distros (PCLinuxOS & Knoppix) is enough.

As above...

Sweet! & printing of CD's again???
> I'll also do media again too.
I'll let the other sponsors know, esp Novell, to get in touch with you over
this aspect?? A note to PC World as soon as we have a date/venue, but we may
already be short of time on that...
Spotcha....
