Some of the cabal members discussed this at the Wellylug meeting lat night.


The background: NZOSS have found out there is something south of the Bombay
Hills & are planning two Open Source conferences in the next month or three.
They were looking to have one in Akl & t'other in Chch, but didn't realise Wgtn
& Chch were in different places so it will actually be held here 
(just joking :-)


It is possible to hold the 'fest in conjunction with the Wgtn conference, but
we figured that a structured conference targetting Govt, corporates &
developers was looking at a very different audience to an installfest, & it was
prob not a good idea to hold them together.

Instead we felt that holding the 'fest a week or so later, making the most of
the advertising & promo available from the NZOSS event to promote the 'fest was
a preferable idea.


Please reply with comments/concerns to this list. If we do reach a concensus
along these lines, we need to propose it on the main Wellylug list, & stick
summat on the NZOSS list to ensure all parties have a chance to comment &
hopefully approve.
