That seems to assume a lot for just a nomination? I sense the cabal is back in
action making decisions for us all. Serves me right for opening my mouth :-)

But Jamie- please note I'll be stirring up about a 2005 Wgtn Installfest
shortly (ie, when I find time) so you'll be getting a return nomination of some
sort before long!

I'm sure Jeremy & I can represent all the Wellylug members just fine. No
consultation required, as I'm sure none of you ever disagree with either of us
over anything, & I'm bigger than Jeremy so he'll agree with me anyway.

Given our highly structured LUG, a nomination & volunteer is about as close as
we ever get to a formal appointment, so is me/Jeremy a done deal? 

I can just say I'll be away at sea all the time & leave it to him, so it seems
easy enough. 


Unless there are any objections, ???   I'll shortly post a msg on the wellylug
list to let people know. 

I'll also tell Jeremy what he'll be doing:

Following Jamie's assumption about a nomination, and mine about volunteers,
Jeremy wants to get some suggestions from y'all about what you think an NZLUG
should be & what it should do/provide. How you think it should be different
from the regional LUG's (if at all), what relationship it should have with the
regional LUG's & other related groups like NZOSS.


Jeremy will personally respond to all your contributions with a grateful thank
you message and a rating of your ideas based on the highest NZ academic
standards of NCEA. He will then summarise for you all on my behalf and say I
did all the work.  

If we don't have any suggestions from you, we'll feel free to say whatever we
feel and blame one or all of you as we see fit! (that might actually be more
fun anyway)


I'll also see if I can get some comments about the recent traffic on the
nzlug-discuss list so we are not working in a Wellylug vacuum, but have some
idea how others feel.... (any NZLUGgites reading this able to provide something
in the absence of a list archive?)

Given his interest in this topic from early on, we expect some exemplary input
from our upgraded jaffa. He knows who he is :-)
