The closest thing we have to a suggested venue is my "same again"
suggestion on nzlug-discuss; viz Daawat in Manners Mall.  This would, I
imagine, count as "central Wellington" :-)

Mark and I will be carpooling so I'm sure we can go whereever is decided
upon (between me and Mark's map we can find anywhere in the Wellington
region), although obviously we have a preference for south of Johnsonville
(or in Johnsonville -- there's a Daawat in Johnsonville too, although
it's relatively small).

What is needed is for someone to decide on a place, preferably one that
other people are willing to travel to.
Indian/Malaysian/asian-in-general would be my preference for a cuisine.

Is there anyone who was planning on attending that objects to "Gold of
India" (details from whitepages.co.nz):
