I don't think this is really appropriate. as has been said earlier, Ewen
hosts the list, and 
he has said no advertising, and he can define what is advertising anyway
he likes.  Unless we are able to find a host for the mailing list that
is more open to advertising, I think we should abide by his rules, and
back that position.  I vote we ditch the poll.
