[wlug_org] Dealing with rule breakers

hi all,

this event has highlighed a lack of system for processing rule breakers.
We need some sort of process in place to deal with people, in the event
that they keep breaking the rules.

What I suggest for starters, is that when there is an advert posted,
either Me, Jeremy or Ewen will post a friendly notification message of
our no advertising policy. This will ideally prevent "annoyed" people
from emailing in with their own response.

Then, if the person is a repeat offender, we can talk to them off list,
and in the event that they keep failing to learn their lesson, we could
look at de-listing them.

Here's a proposal:

1st offense)	Friendly reminder of no advertising posted to the list

2nd offense)	Friendly reminder of no advertising posted to the list
		AND a warning posted off-list

3rd offense)	Friendly reminder of no advertising posted to the list
AND a final warning posted off-list

4th offense)	Friendly reminder of no advertising posted to the list
		AND The offender is de-listed
AND The offender is given an email explaining why they
			were de-listed.
AND The org group is informed.

does this sound okay?

cheers,
