Would the simplest thing not be to simply saying "advertising" is out
BUT donated hardware (that can run linux) or donated software (ie: i have just downloaded x distro - anyone want a copy?) is ok ?
the reason i say this is that based on what is being quantified as advertising i would be warned if i posted to say "Yay i just got these latest ISO's, anyone want em?"
isnt that about as clear as you can be ?
refer to my post about a free ML370g3 - no one gave a shit then (probably because i was offering it to run the mailinglist/website) but its the same thing. and all of this fuss means i will nenver offer anything to this list again - as its not allowed
