Hello, 

Firstly I would like to say thank you very much for making this Jafa
feel so welcome in Wellington - it will never be forgotten.

As some of you might know I have been looking for work in Auckland for a
little while, I have been offered a position at Sky TV, working as what
is called a "Presentation Director".

Basically they put shows to air, ensure that content starts at the
correct time, puts up whats known as base line keys which give you the
title of the show, monitors for issues during playback, manually takes
commercial breaks during live shows - basically anything that you see on
TV. I will (basically) be the final human stop between the video
server / tape player and the Transmitter.

I will be based in Albany (so not really Auckland) but if any of you are
up in Auckland/Albany, please get in touch with me and let me know, it

There are many reasons for the return to Auckland, the biggest one is in
part for my Daughter who we feel needs to get to know my father who's
health is degrading.

But has nothing to do with Jeremy's 'jafa' comments ;)

Good luck with the future of WellyLUG, it's been fun for the 2.5 years I
have been down here.

I am going to be here for one more LUG so I will (hopefully) see many of
you there.
