Website down again, probably going to be out for 24 hours.

I've had problems over the previous 24 hours which came right by rebooting 
the firewall.  The problem I had last night, which seemed to be fixed by 
replacing the firewall, has struck again.
Rang Telstra last night, no one there that could help, they logged the 
fault, they said their techs would look at it sometime after 7am this 
morning when they got in.

Similar problems to what we had at the beginning of the month, which seemed 
to be solved at that point by changing the internet IP address.

For the technically minded I am on a Telstra Cable connection, the physical 
connection to Telstra's network seems to be intact, I can see ARP requests 
and the occasional UDP  packet.  I can not ping either the Paradise DNS 
server, or gateway.  My address is 121.73.5.55, gw 121.73.5.1.  I have been 
able to ping a few other local machines eg 121.73.5.10 (whoever that is), 
and strangely a few other addresses eg 203.?.?.? (can't remember what 
address it was, an addr I saw sending ARP requests).

Have occasionally got temporary connection after rebooting the cable modem 
or my router/firewall.

The network came up again at 7:30 this morning, but looks to have gone down 
again at 7:50 or perhaps a bit later.

9am rang Telstra again, the guy thought there was something funny about the 
settings he was seeing in my modem ("some values missing") so has queued a 
job to replace the modem (hopefully tomorrow morning (don't hold your breath)).

Anybody have any idea of what these symptons really mean?
