Hi,
Sorry about this post, but after months of following this list, worrying
about ride height of these "big adventure bikes", dreaming of places to
go and feeling a little out of place on my GPX 750 I have just taken
delivery of a '97 f650. Now I am a happy little chappy!

My good old GPX will still have her place, I think, well maybee....
after all she has done a fair bit of adventure riding herself, but the
metalled roads of New Zealand have left their last marks on the fairing
for the last time (with me riding).

So, I am awaiting some opportunities to depart from the tarmac and hit
the dirt.... but hopefully not too hard ;-)

Forgive me for blowing off my happyness, but all this positive stuff has
to go somewhere and it is dark and raining outside and I have work in
the morning. Anyway, I think you will understand......

So, where for the first trip??? well, there is a rally in the centre of
the north island at the weekend "The Cold Kiwi". It will probably be a
tad cool (a couple of hundred meters up there is some pertty good skiing
going on at the moment.) Apart from that I still have the problem of
fitting my trusty luggage on to the tiny square at the back of the bike
I'm not even going to try fitting the gpx pack rack, and I have just
spent up on the bike and can't quite afford the extras yet :-( but where
ther's a will, theres a way :-)

anyway, I'll probally keep you posted if anything interesting happens.
