Right. So we are agreed. We will set up a temporary network. Perhaps we
could pre- assign IP's? Explaining that would help understand better what
needs occur. Each participant would bring a LAN cable to join themselves to
the hub. Make is a long one? We need at least one hub. I shall bring my
four port plus link hub. I will also bring a crossover cable to connect it
to another hub, should that be needed, and to demonstrate the linking of
hubs? Better be redundant than missing one element in the chain.

If Mark is setting up a server, then the rest of us will use the 192.168.n.n
domain I will have IP 2?

wow! Thanks for all the ideas and offers of things to bring people!
I think we'll go for people bringing as many PC's as they can, the
offers of a hub and a projector would be gratefully accepted as that way
we can really get things moving.
