It's an binary executable - you may need to change the permissions to be
able to run it. The setup guide is not bad; I think it was a pdf file
which I downloaded from sun also. If you don't want to download and
print it, and you're close by (I'm in Northland), I could probably lend
you my copy. Anyway, whenever it refers to running 'setup', you use this
file instead. Some people have suggested renaming it to 'setup'.
I used the network install (as root), then the user install as me - so
if I ever need to let someone else use it, it doesn't take up so much
space. Also, if I need to reinstall it, I don't lose all my personal
settings and files.

Better is to use 'file filename' to tell you what sort of file it is.

The other thing is, as long as you log in as a normal user rather than
root, the virus (because it runs with your permissions) can only trash
your stuff, not the whole system.
