If you get a Telstra Saturn / Paradise cable modem,
they give you 1,000 <BR>
MB as part of the package. For an extra $54 / month,
you get 3 GB on <BR>
total. For an extra $30 / month you can have 2mb
access instead of the <BR>
default 512k. At 2mbps, you can download a 640MB CD
image in 50 minutes <BR>
or less. <BR>

But this quota is international traffic.......NZ
traffic is rated at <BR>
1/10th.....so 1,000MB it is effectively 10,000MB of NZ
traffic. So if <BR>
you download your CD images of Linux from an NZ server
(ftp.ifs.net.nz, <BR>
I think) then those 640MB CDs only count as 64MB for
your quota. <BR>

Plus your phone gets cheaper....and you can have cable
TV with 25 <BR>
channels. <BR>
