[wellylug] Debian users: freetype

Hi,

Yes I know about aptitude and apt-get :-)

The "standard" freetype is inferior to the "best possible" freetype
because of patent issues:

http://www.freetype.org/patents.html

The option for better looking fonts can be compiled in, but the standard
Debian will not have this (like all the other distros).  For instance I
replace the Mandrake freetype with a package a user compiled and the
fonts sure look better.

The question is, where is the equivalent Debian package?
