[wellylug] Windows XP install compared with Redhat and Mandra kes latest install

I just reinstalled Windows XP from scratch again, and I still have the
same problems as b4....
I can open a cdrom but as soon as I try run anything from it I get it
complaining about missing keys in dll's and missing dll's, and some of
the files look like they are corrupted as well. This is all from the
cdrom drive XP just installed from, and Redhat 7.3 is currently
installing from. I have checked the website for the cd manufacturer,
mobo manufacturer, and MS, and none of them seem to have any information
on this sort of problem. I did see a couple of articles which referred
to drives not working at all under XP, and a registry hack that is
supossed to fix it , but that was for different drives with different
problems to mine, and I am not keen to start with that today.
I never had any problems with RH7.3 on the same machine.
