Ditto - Evolution 1.1 was like a turtle with a hangover, but Evolution
1.2 now has totally revamped indexing. Speed is very acceptable - it's a
very comfortable program with no lack of features.

It also keeps its folders in standard mbox format, allowing for easy
export to other clients.

Also, its GnuPG integration is seamless. But a real killer feature is
the inbuilt to-do list and calendar, which along with emails, can be
easily synced with Palm Pilots (yes - Palm Pilot sync conduits are
provided).


KMail is also good, but not quite as flexible. Also, it munges the mbox
format somewhat, which is annoying because it takes a shell/perl/python
script to restore mbox format.
