No lack of features? Are you joking? Last time I looked (ok a while
ago) it couldn't do File->Open and simply display an mbox folder
anywhere on disk (so I simply immediately deleted it), it could
assentially only handle pop/imap folders, every mailbox had to be
defined first (another clean kill), and support for anything else but
RedCrap was essentially non-existing.

I don't think so. In what way? kmail's handling of mbox was almost as
sucky as evolutions, but I didn't observe mangling.

I doubt there's much point in doing that, if any of it was any good,
we'd have heard of it by now. There may be the odd one which has one
outstanding feature, but on the whole it remains unusable.

Sure, my choice for command line too. But don't forget the quote from
its web page: "All mail clients suck. This one just sucks less." 10 out
of 10 for being realistic. There are quite a few things which suck.
