[wellylug] Next Meeting

Well, the last meeting was interesting. 

We had one group enjoying a walk through the configuration file for Apache
Web Server, and another group very busy as well (apologies - I did not see
what was happening). 

We also had several new people along as well - did you notice? Some copies
of Mandrake (and the stickers as well) were collected for 'Friends that may
be interested'. This is all good stuff, and promotes the meeting.

The food was excellent, along with the company. So let's build on it for the
next meeting.
An offer is for a follow-on from the Apache walk-thru with some PERL
scripting and configuration, as well as some other scripting examples. Are
you interested in this?

Also on the table is some interest in getting some applications going under
WINE - has someone used this and could walk through a couple of simple
applications set up? I know many of you prefer and recommend other emulators
but some of us are poor (still).

We must not forget that at each meeting we are getting new people along, to
involve them in conversation, to encourage them to use their systems, and to
experience the benefits of Linux.

I am still having problems with Samba, so would like to walk through that
file too.

So, are there some other thoughts about the next meeting? What about the
more advance topics?
