[wellylug] How to I strip HTML tags via the cmd line?

Hi Richard,

I've often wondered about the usefulness of that tool for text.  Printed
documents have much more rigorous requirements than a web page, like
paragraph orphans and widows etc.  This is where a good word processor
or page layout program comes in handy  ;-)

Ah. In that case, there's a tool calles html2ps available here:

http://www.tdb.uu.se/~jan/html2ps.html

You could then use ps2pdf to turn the Postscript into PDF.
