[wellylug] reinstall gone wrong!

login as root:

type vi '/etc/X11/XF' and then hit tab and it will complete the name or
beep.  If it beeps,then hit tab again and it will show you the options. 
They will be: XF86Config or XF86Config-4
If there is an XF86Config-4, that is the one to use, otherwise use the
XF86Config.

If you get a bad permissions error, which would be very strange:

type 'chmod ug+rw /etc/X11/XF86Config(-4)
This will change the permissions for you to be able to read and write to
it.

then follow my previous instructions on how to fix the config
