Just woody, i have not had it for long so guess its not old.
Since May 2003, X just closes any old time, sometimes after 1 minute, and then
mozilla closes all the time, and each time I have to close X and
sometimes I have to re boot. See my blurb, I dont want Debian anymore
as I cannot fix anything!

Yes I heard of it once but know nothing about it. See where I say I can't d/load
and install any other programs from the net etc. If someone can read all
my problems, plus understand my very limited abilities and recommend
either something like Mandrake, or forget it and go Mac is
basically what I am asking. I really need the *whole* picture addressing
as my hubby relies upon my net connection too, and he is totally
sick of my being unable to fix linux stuff! Bottom line I have
this week to get it sorted or on Sat we are going to the Mac shop!
Also he wants to buy XP this week, and we cannot re-establish our network
ourselves once he has upgraded.
If there is a distro for dummies I need it, and help with install,
I am happy to pay for assistance, but I just dont know whats the
best thing to do?
thanks once again
