Hi Jethro
Hunt around the web, and you may find a small util that you can run in MS-DOS to re-program the EPROM on the network card to another IRQ and memory address.
You will need to know exactly what your network card is so that you get the right util.
Regards
Michael

Subject: [wellylug] Werid Network Problems + IRQ Conflict
I just installed Red Hat 9 on my HP Pavilion 4422.
When it boots using the ps2 mouse, it keeps saying that the mouse is busy. It then tries to start the x server, but it doesn't work.
If I use a serial mouse, it all works okay...
I also tried to get my isa network card going. The card wasn't detected at installation, but was detected at first boot. I installed it, but I can only ping the pc's ip.
I think this is a IRQ conflict between the mouse + network card. The network card is IRQ 12, & I read online somewhere that the mouse sometimes uses it.
How can I change the IRQ of the network card or mouse?
Thanks.
