The new list has messages from someone's personal archive that take it
back to about June 2001.  I believe there's about another 2 years worth
of archive which it'd be nice to capture for historical interest.  

If someone can send me an archive of the older messages in a plain text
format (one file per message, Unix mbox, or similar) then I can import
it into the mailing list archives.
