You need to automate it, but in order to not upset yahoo keeping a low
profile would be desirable. That's why I won't post a howto in public.

The downside is that you'll only get it in html, and will have to
program a filter to convert it to plain text.

"personal" archive sounds highly incomplete. I wont be able to help out
for before Feb 01, since then is safely archived, but I can't make
running 2 years of mail archives through procmail a priority right now.

The yahoo archive easily shows where it started. I strongly recommend
not to delete the yahoo archive until you've satisfied your historical
interest... If you want to protect it meanwhile, make it subscribers'
only, bump off all subsribers, require approval for subscriptions and
don't approve any.
