Damon,

As someone who is still trying to get to grips with linux, I 
wouldn't actually know where to go to find out if /home is on a 
particular partiton (I assume that you mean root home here, or are 
you talking /home/<username>?

I've tried to mount /mnt/floppy and it comes up read only when I try 
to copy these files.

Help!
