Bret,

Sid does break from time to time. When it does it is usually only for a
fairly short time, however this might break things for a day. I have
used sid for 6 months, updating regularly (weeklyish) and although I use
my machines every day and I can not remember the details of any
breakage.(ie they were not that traumatic for me.)

However no guarantees ... your mileage may vary.

Remember YOU choose when to upgrade and hence when you risk breaking
your machine. Also if you have a network, then upgrade and test a lesser
machine first.
