[wellylug] Problems with KAddressbook

What user are you running Kmail as... ? it sounds like the user you logged
in as does not have write access to the file or directory the file is in ...
try running as root, if it works as root, then its a file permission
problem.  It is possible the files are owned by root and the ownership will
have to be changed to your regular user ... or write access will need to be
set ..
