This is good for most people :)

That would be great!

Let's see ... I have about 95 mails in my WLUG
directory. 9 of them are HTML, 8 of these are from you.
I have a grand total of 2798 Mails stored, 121 of which
are HTML (I didn't bother counting the individuals :}
but I assure you that they aren't from more than 12
people). As far as I am concerned the number is
not significant, and even if it were I'd still go for
the minimal common denominator, which is ASCII.
Your mail client can read and produce ASCII,
mutt, pine or other console based mailers
get tons of garbage on their screen.

Now, I do appreciate your work for the website, and
have no problems believing that HTML is dear to you,
but it's a meta language to define the look of a website,
and not meant for mail. http://expita.com/nomime.html
is ONE good approach to explain why not to use HTML
in mail. Traffic is another reason. You don't actually
convey any different information. And if I wanted to
*emphasise* something I could use that notation,
and it's at least as clear as with <b></b>, but 4 bytes
shorter ;) (it's probably faster to enter, too ;})...

The infamous incredimail is one of MY favourite
pet-peeves ... I've received several mails of
40K and more with ~100 bytes of information, and
it's not THAT long ago that I moved from 56K to
broadband that I wouldn't remember how I loathed it :)

This too, of course, is just my opinion, but I find
it well-backed and courteous towards those who
don't use graphical clients (I've often used pine
at work) or are on a slow connection.
