What went wrong (ie: all error messages/problems)?
Did the rpm install stuff up, or couldn't you connect using mandake's internet wizard?

Okay, step 4 is like this:

<copy the file to your home directory (/home/username) >
<Load the console>
su -
cd /home/<username>
rpm -i hsflinmodem.rpm

$$$I just tried those steps and these are the results:

open the MCC:

[root at localhost kadim]# su -

[root at localhost root]# cd /home/kadim

[root at localhost kadim]# rpm -i hsflinmodem.rpm

error: open of hsflinmodem.rpm failed: No such file of directory

However, I tried as well:

Opened MCC; follow internet configuration wizard,

- ethernet and winmodem are detected.

- uncheck the ethernet, leave the winmodem checked. Then continue: hsflinmodem software detected - install rpm? (click YES).

- click apply or OK (both are tried).

Close the MCC.

- Try to connect:

device modem changed into: /dev/modem - not working; (error kppp doesn't recognize)

change to: dev/ttyS0 - modem ready - initialyizing modem -> then just hung up..like freezing...no signs et all..The same thing happened when I change into /dev/ttyS1;

So, what should I do then. Accept my apology for so many questions..

Best regards,

Kadim
