Subject: [wellylug] looking for a lazy cd-backup solution
Greetings.
Could anyone suggest a "lazy" way to make backups of a "live" server onto CD'Rs.
The box has 2 partitions:
- hda1 = 640MB - has core OS,
- hda3 = has /home dirs and the rest of the "data"
Is there any easy way to take "snapshots" of the live system, sptil into 640mb
pieces and make iso-s for later burning, preserving permissions and file
attributes, and readable as normal CD (ie NOT in some propriatry harddrive image
-file, like NERO's)
Ilia
