Have you looked into the following software?
- Eagle for pcb layout (www.cadsoft.de)
- icarus verilog for verilog simulation and synthesis
- gtkwave for wave form analysis
- You can run the latest Xilinx tools under wine for fpga and cpld synthesis
and programming
> Cross platform compilers/IDE's for 8 and 16 bit microprocessors.
> (Motorola, Zilog, Atmel etc.)
The GNU GCC compiler toolchain can be configured as a cross compiler for a huge
range of 8,16 and 32 bit micros. I am using if for Motorola 68332 and AVR
Mega128 stuff at the moment.
