Hi Chris,

The tricky thing is taking live video in, and then coding it in realtime
to some high quality format (i.e. mpeg2, mpeg4 etc), and streaming it
out - we're talking multimegabit streams here....

Of course this means a specialist pci card which drives a lean back
towards a rack mount (mounted in a transportable case) design - which is
kinda at the opposite end to my previous laptop plus a outboard
soundcard design...

Hmm. tricky. Two systems or one? *really mobile* or not? 

Oh, Thanks to the luggers that replied to my email, I'll let you know
how I go....
