That's a matter of opinion. It may be a thing of your
personal experience.

Well, my wife and kids, and currently my mother in law
as well, use Linux. They have no problems with it. The
boy has installed it all by himself, and is responsible
for his machine. I did the base installation for our
daughter, but she's now root as well. She's dual-booting
with Win98 and is asking for more support with 98 than
with Linux.

Yep. Not a Linux-Server-Users group.What was your
expectation when posting to a Linux usergroup mailing
list, stating that you won't re-install Linux in the
near future? You've had "bad luck", I've had that
repeatedly with MS products in the past (and ongoing)
... The thing is that I won't go to a MS User Group
and tell them that but rather share that with like-
minded people ;) to avoid conflict.
I'm in an admin & help-desk position, and the problems
that I face every day with people using windows and MS
office products to me indicates that the latter are less
usable than Linux (which I use as my primary OS on server
AND work-station). Of course, the fact that Linux can
satisfy all my computing needs is just my personal
experience.
Whatever your decision in respect to Linux and
the LUG is, I wish you the best of luck :)
Cheers,
Andrej
