Odd, it should Just Work compiled as modules with the driver package at
http://bytesex.org/saa7134/ .. I have a similar board and it's been
largely fine under 2.4. That does assume you have your kernel's headers
around, but you don't need to actually patch the kernel for it.
(I have had problems with audio capture over OSS and a few other things,
but they're not showstoppers.)
